After a decade on Shipyard Blvd, the studio will be moving to a new location on July 1st!

The new location (as seen in the photos) is located at 3509-B Wrightsville Ave. We have some upfitting to do, installing new flooring, a lot of painting, a second bathroom, office and balcony, but we will be moving in before it is fully finished as we need to be out of our current location by July.

Not only are we moving, but we are combining forces! For those that don’t know, I perform acrobatics with Wilmington’s premier Cabaret, “La Big Bouche Cabaret”. We will be working together to make this location work. There will be new classes starting up! There will be dance classes, acrobatics classes, and possibly more (that are still in the works). The cabaret will also be performing shows here every month! We’ll have more information once we finalize the schedule.

We are expecting to do our grand opening in September. We will announce the exact date and festivities as soon as we lock everything down. Since we have to move quickly, I could use some help. I will be cleaning the new building as soon as I obtain the keys. And will then move everything over as soon as the place is clean. If anyone wants to help, let me know.

Note, since we are combining forces and possibly bringing on more instructors/classes, the building will have a new name that covers all the activities going on. Our school will still be Bourelle Martial Arts, however. Just the name of the building will change. I haven’t announced the name yet as we are making sure it’s not currently in use. We’ll announce that soon. I look forward to seeing everyone in the new location soon!
